John Favreau is awesome, however you spell his last name, because he's a director, actor and voice over. This time a voice for a Mando on SWCW. Awesome!

They're on mouser.com.

As a fair warning, they're not cheap. The dimmest, lowest powered ones start at around $30. The high power ones are about $90.

where did you find the blacklight leds? i want to buy one for experimental purposes

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Lord Wraith.

I too have long desired a black lightsaber, but my research (and that of both The Custom Saber Shop and FX-Sabers) has yet to turn up a viable method for doing so. The best one I've seen involved a solid black rod up the center and a white LED for effect. It looked fairly good in the dark, actually, but looked strange in the light.

There are some decent blacklight LEDs on the stars for sabers, but they don't come out with a good black in a saber, they're more of a rapidly fading purple. Sadly, not even really good for a purple saber.

i know i have desired a blacklight lightsaber for quite a while. however as far as i am aware the only blacklight led's in mass production were on the overdrive tracker morphers in power rangers operation overdrive.(yes i know that my knowledge of this makes me look bad, im a nerd, nuff said.)
anyhow, it may be possible to use a white led and a specialized diffuser film...

I just saw the latest episode of the Clone Wars, in this episode there was a Mandalorian who used a BLACK LIGHTSABER!!!!!!!!!

I am BLOWN AWAY, other than the black crystal that you could find in TFU, I have never seen a black lightsaber blade before in Star Wars Cannon.

Before he engaged in a duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi, he made the statment, that the lightsaber was stolen from the Jedi Temple during the time of the Old Republic, that it had claimed many Jedi lives since. The hilt looked like one of a truly ancient design, and the blade itself, appeared to be slightly shorter than Obi-Wan's blade. It's shape reminded me of the lightsaber that Obi-Wan gave to luke in the original version of Episode IV, it had that look of a sword, more flat and pointed, instead of the pole like lightsabers that we usualy see.

AMAZING!!! I wonder, could a Black Lightsaber be made using LED's??? Currious, I will have to study this, and see if I can find any answers.

Better you have a talk with Lord Demens; I trust him with all my saber projects. He has the skills that my hands and eyes simply do not posses when it comes to the wiring and instalation of the lightsaber electronics. I am more Darth Traya and he is more Bao-Dur.

As far as meetings go, I think that I will wait for the warmer months, for I just don't feel that it would make much since to bargin a deal with an owner of a building, only to have it last 1 or 2 meetings. You or someone else is ofcourse free to form the meetings, until I return. I fully expect that by atleast the second week in march, it should be warm enough to meet at our old spot again.

My school work (mostly reading) has become more prevalent than ever, and sadly it must take presidence over this guild, though I love this group, I must take care of my education and there for my family, I'm sure you can understand.

thanks, and maybe i can have a look at yours. i could probably fix it up so that it wont be so ornery anymore.
as far as waiting for warmer weather is concerned i think i may have to agree and also disagree; maybe we could put it to a vote depending on what the temp is supposed to be. at least until the warmer seasons roll back around.

as for me and the temperature tomorrow. i am screwed. i have my police application exam tomorrow and the physical agility test will of course be outside in the cold... may the force be with me...

Greetings to My Brothers of the Force, sorry to hear about your saber troubles Master Inochi, I myself were practicing with my TCSS "Golden Fire of the Sith" saber, and I hit the blade on the ground to hard to many times and the saber started to short out. Thankfuly I punched it a couple of times and it started working again lol.

I hope everyone is having a good week, I wanted to say I'm sorry that I will not be able to lead us in a meeting this week. I have a philosophy paper due Monday, and the High Temp tommorow is supposed to be about 35 degrees :/.... I miss the summer, I never thought I would say that lol.

Since we only have one month until march (spring, hopefuly warmth), unless anyone has any objections. I think we will simply wait for the weather to warm to the point where we can stay outside and not freeze. Hopefuly the begining of March. Next Winter, we will have a plan and a building in place to deal with the cold cold.

May The Force Be With and Serve Us All Well
